Main goal
Are you ready to take the lead in revolutionising data-driven strategies at the heart of European football? We're
seeking a dynamic and forward-thinking ICT Data Analytics Expert to spearhead the evolution of our Enterprise
Data Platform (EDP) and drive innovative solutions for UEFA's diverse business challenges.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and manage the execution of data strategies that align with the organisation's business objectives and
IT architecture;
- Design and oversee the organisation's data architecture for data analytics, including data models, databases,
data warehouses, and data lakes;
- Supervise the development team to ensure that the defined architecture is implemented;
- Manage data integration solutions, ETL processes and data pipelines to ensure seamless data flow across
systems that will be used, operated and maintained by the support and development team;
- Define data analysis techniques to extract insights from data, identify trends and make recommendations for
data solutions to be used by the development team;
- Ensure the proper definition of data visualisation standards to be followed by the development team to present
insights in a clear and actionable format;
- Ensure the definition of the data quality processes that will be followed by the development team.
Profile
Experience required:
- At least six years of experience in data analysis, data management, data engineering or data architecture
Education:
- Masters in computer science, data science, information technology or a related field
- Certifications in relevant data products, such as Snowflake, Talend, DBT, Tableau or Dataiku, would be an asset
Languages:
- English / Proficient
- Knowledge of French would be an asset
Additional requirements:
- Strong understanding of data architecture, data modelling, database management systems and data
integration techniques, with proven implementation experience.
- Proficiency in on-premise (SQL) and cloud-based data platforms (Snowflake)
- Proficiency in ETL/ELT solutions (DBT/Talend)
- Proficiency in data analysis tools, data visualisation software (Tableau and PowerBI)
- Strong technical background with knowledge of APIs, data ops and data science
- Knowledge of data science practices and tools (Dataiku), knowledge of programming languages (e.g. Python, R)
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Comfortable navigating within a wide variety of projects and activities, often in parallel
- Familiar with agile methodologies; expert knowledge would be an asset
