Zurich’s Group Accumulation Management (GAM) function provides actionable insights and thought leadership on both natural and man-made catastrophe risk. GAM’s comprehensive approach is a critical component of Zurich’s Risk Management and Underwriting functions, supporting the optimization of our portfolios, driving sustainable and profitable growth, and addressing current and emerging risks, including cyber threats and climate change. This function relies on complex and business-critical IT systems. This role offers an outstanding leadership opportunity to build a collaborative team dedicated to agile product development and delivering a competitive edge to the core business.
Serve as the business and product owner for the Risk Exposure Data Store (REDS), a strategic and cross-functional data asset essential for assessing natural and man-made catastrophe risk.
As a senior member of the GAM Leadership Team, collaborate closely with Group Functions (e.g., Underwriting, Risk Management, Reinsurance), the Head of GAM IT, and other Product Owners within GAM to ensure REDS meets business requirements.
Lead risk and assurance activities within GAM, including strategic Cat Technical Underwriting Reviews, Group Total Risk Profiling, Risk and Sustainability Reporting and risk control management.
A Master’s degree in a technical field, along with underwriting and/or actuarial qualifications.
A comprehensive understanding of accumulation management processes performed or supported by REDS.
Experience with agile delivery models and managing and delivering change projects in an agile manner.
Effective stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge business requirements with technical solutions.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with senior stakeholders, including strong facilitation, presentation, and negotiation skills.
Fluency in English.
