To strengthen our HR team and act as a key point of contact for our COO, we are looking for an engaged and proactive individual to join us as a maternity cover for approximately 12 months. In this role, you will take on a central position in our daily operations and support processes. With your commitment, reliability, and hands-on mindset, you will make an important contribution to employee satisfaction and the smooth functioning of our organization.RESPONSIBILITIES HR AssistantSupport the HR team in all administrative mattersAfter an onboarding phase, independently manage personnel administration, including employee entries and exits, maintenance of personnel files and HR master data, work permits, social insurance matters, and accident, illness, and parental leave notificationsProvide administrative support in recruitment, including job postings and interview coordinationSupport the onboarding of new employees by preparing employment documents, coordinating onboarding agendas, and organizing software and hardware in collaboration with the IT ManagerAssist with employee offboarding, including the preparation of employment confirmations and reference lettersMaintain HR-related spreadsheets and overviews such as recruitment tracking and organizational chartsProcess HR-related invoices and handle general HR correspondenceExecutive & Administrative SupportProvide executive and administrative support to the COO and leadership team, including calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reporting, and correspondenceAct as a point of contact for external stakeholders, including investors, partners, and visitorsOrganize meetings and company events, including agenda preparation, materials, and follow-upsSupport document management, contracting processes, and administrative workflowsQUALIFICATIONSCompleted commercial apprenticeship (EFZ), ideally complemented by further training as an HR Assistant (Sachbearbeiter:in HR)First practical experience in HR administration and in Switzerland is of advantageFluent in German and English (spoken and written)Confident user of Microsoft Excel and other MS Office applicationsStructured, precise, and reliable working style with strong attention to detailAbility to take responsibility and work independentlyHigh level of discretion, confidentiality, and reliabilityWillingness to learn and contribute in a dynamic, international environmentWHAT WE CURRENTLY OFFERPeople: We are an international and diverse team with talented and passionate people.Creativity: We offer an innovative and creative environment.Development: We support the individual development of our employees.Fun: From time-to-time we organise cool off-site summer and winter team events.Offices: Our well-equipped laboratories and offices are located at the Tech Park, a premier address for early-stage start-ups in Basel.Commuter Benefits: We support our employees tailored to their personal needs in commuting to work and offer parking facilities or a commuter contribution.Flexible Working: We support flexible working as appropriate.Christmas Closure: In addition to the 24 holidays per year, our offices/labs are closed between Christmas and New Year.Birthday Retreat: On top of that, your birthday is your personal holiday - our employees enjoy their birthday with a day off.Food: We like get-togethers during lunch time.
