For a well-established trading house in Geneva, we are seeking an experienced Coffee Trader to expand our market presence and drive business growth in the global coffee industry.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research and analysis on global trends for coffee, including supply, demand, and price movements.
• Execute purchase and sale transactions for green and processed coffee in both domestic and international markets.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, producers, and buyers.
• Negotiate contract terms including pricing, delivery schedules, and payment conditions.
• Implement and manage risk management strategies using derivatives, futures, and other financial instruments.
• Coordinate with logistics teams to ensure the timely and efficient movement of coffee, overseeing transportation, storage, and distribution.
• Maintain detailed records of trading activities and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand market presence and increase profitability.
• Monitor and report on market trends, providing insights and strategic recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in coffee trading or related commodity trading roles.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex market data.
• Proficiency in risk management techniques and the use of financial instruments for hedging purposes.
• Understanding of global coffee markets, including supply chain logistics and regulatory environments.
• Proficiency in trading software, financial modeling, and market analysis tools.
• Fluency in English; additional language skills are a plus.
