What you will do:

Are you excited about scientific innovation? This opportunity will enable you to strive for industry leadership in skin biology, innovative target identification and actives development, as well as translational science and claim substantiation excellence. You will contribute to our strategic growth and innovation targets. We are looking for an agile, motivated colleague to join our Personal Care team in our R&D department.

Location: based in Kaiseraugst near Basel in Switzerland with a hybrid working model.

Key areas of responsibility:

Establish new biological pathways as a basis for new molecule developments, and implement new technologies in skin and hair, generate IP and publish results at conferences, technical trade magazines, and peer-reviewed scientific journals. Feed our innovation pipeline with content by adding efficacy data for claim support to new product innovation but also to existing products. As part of a team, execute experimental work to support multiple research goals and business functions including product development and support of running business. Identify and implement solutions to research objectives. Offer customized studies to directly boost sales of our skin actives/vitamins. Interact with internal stakeholders such as business development and project management to identify research goals. Collaborate frequently with scientists and managers from other disciplines. Present clearly and concisely methods, data and interpretation of results both internally and externally Manage multiple work packages, multitask, prioritize, and coordinate with colleagues to ensure deadlines are met and work packages remain within project scope. Possess a high degree of flexibility in supporting products and projects across their entire lifecycle, following priorities set by management and senior colleagues.

You Bring:

Degree in biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, or similar (master level but preferably Ph.D.) with a few years of professional work experience in an industrial environment Experience and solid expertise cell-biology, preferably in skin biology, lab-automation, molecular biology, microbiology. Experience in management of large datasets and/or hair biology would be an asset. Ability to operate in cross-functional environment, strong team player with excellent communication skills, ability to build up and maintain a network with internal and external expert centers, institutes, and universities, solid people skills that can be developed into managerial skills Good command of English, German would be an asset Experience in data management and interpretation of large data sets
