Proactively and professionally support all business lines of the Bank by providing independent, timely and high level legal support and advice while ensuring all activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulatory requirements.

Key responsabilities Act as senior legal advisor for all legal aspects of the Bank in Switzerland and abroad; Overview legal advice and monitoring of customer files (successions, claims, litigation, requests for administrative assistance, etc.); Support the Head of Legal in managing all legal cases, claims and litigations and liaise with external legal advisors; Assist HR in efficient management of labour law litigations; Follow-up on litigation, judicial deadlocks and mutual assistance procedures, both on criminal and administrative angles; Support relationship managers of the Bank in legal matters regarding the daily business of the Private Banking division; Contribute, from a legal and contractual perspective, to the development of the service offering of the Bank; Ensure a sound and up to date knowledge of laws and regulation in the banking industry in order to successfully combine our legal framework with our business needs and activities; Support other Bank’s functions in legal matters, including drafting and review of contracts in various legal fields; Maintain and update contracts templates, review and negotiate legal documentation with various counterparties; Participate and input into cross-functional regulatory projects as needed; Keep abreast of legal developments in the banking sector, attending relevant conferences and seminars. Professional experience & competencies

7-10 years of proven track record in a similar position in a private Bank; Good knowledge of banking products and services as well as Swiss banking and stock market legislation and regulations; Ability to combine technical expertise with a clear and persuasive communication style and the confidence and independence of thought to make sound judgement calls; Excellent client relationship management experience to manage different stakeholders expectations; Excellent drafting and report writing skills French and English; Strong attention to detail and execution skills.

Pragmatic approach combined with a good business acumen to find business-oriented solutions and build long lasting relationship in the internal network; High level of autonomy and versatility; Analytical mind with the ability to propose solutions; Eager to learn and work in a dynamic and innovative boutique Bank; Excellent communication skills both oral and in writing.

Language requirements:

Full proficiency in English and French, be comfortable to discuss complex legal matters in both languages. Understanding of German a plus.

IT Skills:

Proficiency in all common IT tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Education:

Swiss certified Lawyer with bar admission.
