In this role, you will…

Support the development of new FISH service offerings

Perform cytogenetic techniques (FISH) semi-automated and manual staining

Perform the interpretation of FISH results under the supervision of the doctor in charge

Prepare workstation, instrumentation and maintenance on instruments and/or equipment daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and annually. Ability to adequately maintain accurate records and both adhere to Standard Operating Procedures

Monitor reagents, material and supplies

Collaborate with other team members to improve procedures

Adhere to safety and occupational health policies and standards

Routine decalcification, processing, embedding, microtomy and re-embedding of human tissue specimens from patients enrolled in clinical trials.

Maintain proper storage conditions and traceability of Histology blocks and slides (stained and unstained).

What we’re looking for

Histology Cytogenetic Technologists are the most successful at Labcorp with: 

At least 3 years of previous cytogenetic (FISH) experience

Fluency in French

Diploma: Medical Technologist (CFC holder) OR Pharmaceutical Biology Technologist (CFC holder) OR Medical Technologist (Swiss State School of Medical Technologist Degree holder) OR Medical Technologist (BTS, DUT, IUT Degree holder)
