The main objective of the Data Science Lab (DSL),, is the university-wide research support in Data Science and Research IT-related matters. Facing an increasing demand for Machine Learning support, we are looking for a Junior Machine Learning Expert.

Tasks Project work (60%) Consulting (20%) Service maintenance (10%) Continuing education (10%) Requirements Professional experience with data analysis, machine learning, software development or signal processing Experience in research projects and teaching Team worker, high availability in agreed periods Goal and service-oriented personality with excellent English communication skills (German is a strong asset) We offer Scientific staff employment for 18 months with possible extension to cantonal salary conditions International research environment ranging from veterinary medicine, via bioimaging and physics down to arts and humanities Extremely multidisciplinary engaged team (particularly in ML and AI) Offices at the main railway station of Bern (most beautiful city on the planet) Conditions according to cantonal regulations and flexible working hours Mandatory time for own continuing education and coauthoring in supported projects All amenities of university employees Application We strongly recommend also women to apply for this position.
