Project Engineer

The Project Engineer (m/f/d) leads the implementation of facility management strategies, oversees project delivery, and drives sustainability and reliability initiatives, by carrying out the following task areas:

  • Ensures compliance with our client's global engineering standards for GWES activities and assets.
  • Main contact for engineering standards and local regulations, coordinating with Quality and Safety.
  • Ensures projects comply with procurement policies and engineering standards.
  • Manages project safety, finances, and execution, partnering with IFM provider.
  • Handles project management processes and tracking.
  • Oversees Life Cycle Asset Management (LCAM) using reliability tools.
  • Collaborates on maintenance and energy management improvements.
  • Leads workshops for preventive maintenance and root cause analysis.
  • Leads GENIUS program and manage sustainability projects.
  • Develops net carbon transition plan.
  • Drives energy efficiency and supports ESG goals.
  • Assists clients with GWES priorities and projects.
  • Promotes innovation and operational excellence.
  • Represents GWES in compliance programs.
  • Promotes safety, quality, and engineering standards compliance.
  • Manages site safety and support compliance audits.
  • Manages construction site safety for GWES project activities and support compliance audit programs.

To be considered for this position, the ideal candidate must have:

  • Successfully completed bachelor's and master's degree in engineering or related field
  • 5 years of experience in project management, reliability engineering, and sustainability initiatives within a highly regulated industry.
  • Solid English skills, as well as very good German skills (ideally B2 level)
  • Experience in financial management, compliance, and safety management systems.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Certifications in project management, reliability engineering, or sustainability (e.g., PMP, CMRP, LEED) are a plus.
  • Ability to demonstrate integrity and customer focus as a basis for action and innovation.
  • Willingness to improve personal effectiveness and interpersonal skills.
