Job Summary:
The Advanced Specialist Raw Materials Procurement is responsible for the strategic sourcing, and supply management of raw materials. This role requires a team player who can develop and implement sourcing strategies, and associated supply chains, to ensure the availability, cost-efficiency, and quality of raw materials necessary for production. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to optimize procurement processes and drive value.
Responsibilities:
YOU will be involved in the following tasks:
Function as the procurement lead for a portfolio of specialty raw materials for the Engineered Materials (EM) business, in Europe Develop, communicate and execute comprehensive sourcing strategies for raw materials which provide Celanese’s businesses with a competitive advantage in terms of total cost and supply reliability Identify and qualify new suppliers to ensure a robust and competitive supply base Negotiate contracts/ frame agreements or price agreements with suppliers to achieve the best value for the business Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with quality and delivery standards Implement supplier development initiatives to improve performance and innovation Analyze cost drivers and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements Support new product development by sourcing and managing the supply of materials in line with project timelines Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to drive procurement initiatives and projects Utilize data insights to drive decision-making and improve procurement processes
Qualifications:
What YOU will bring to the team:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, economics, chemical engineering or related field. A Master’s degree is a plus Minimum of 4 years of experience in procurement, ideally with a focus on raw materials Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) Proven negotiation/influencing skills Ability to work independently and prioritize effectively Strong problem solver Demonstrated persistence and resilience Interested in this opportunity?
