What to expect
- Prepare and analyse monthly and quarterly financial statements as well as the presentation and explanation of the results to various stakeholders (e.g. CFO, Insurance Officer, Region/Group)
- Coordinate and ensure timely and accurate delivery of financial metrics in close collaboration with your teammates and other departments, especially actuarial department.
- Manage end to end forward looking financials (multi-year financial plan, forecast, preview).
- Regularly analyse Plan's deviations vs Targets
- Support of the most important stakeholders (business / actuarial department) in day-to-day business as well as preparation of ad hoc analyses
- Focus on process improvements with a focus on automation and standardization. On-going development of existing reports, dashboards and monitoring
The skills you'll bring
- Master's degree in Economics, Finance, Risk or Actuarial Sciences.
- Ideally up to 7 years of professional experience in planning & controlling with exposure to life insurance. Preferably, previous experience within an actuarial team.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Customer-oriented mindset with a demonstrated ability to understand and meet customer needs.
- High level of resilience, especially in demanding and stressful situations.
- Background in statutory and IFRS17 accounting/ reporting frameworks
- Good knowledge of SAP FI-CO / AfO, other systems like Anaplan, Tagetik a strong plus.
- Required strong spoken and written English skills, proficiency in German is an advantage
