Celeroton TurboCell is a Swiss based fast-growing technology leader developing and manufacturing high-speed turbo compressors and drive systems using gas bearings for fuel cell applications. The company is based in Volketswil and sells its products worldwide for a broad range of applications including automotive, stationary, marine and aerospace industry.

To support our on-going growth, we are looking to strengthen our R&D team.


Your tasks:

  • Mechanical and thermal design of high-speed turbo-compressor systems
    • Design by analytical and numerical means including FE tools
    • CAD Design including technical drawings
  • Testing, commissioning and characterization prototype systems
  • Industrialization of prototypes and transfer to series production
  • Collaboration with internal interfaces (e.g. product management, production, quality), suppliers and customers within an interdisciplinary project team

Our requirements:

  • Bachelor, Master or PhD in mechanical engineering (ETH/FH/TU) or comparable
  • Education and/or professional experience in the development of mechanical systems (ideally rotating machinery)
  • Application knowledge in 3D CAD (e.g. Autodesk Inventor)
  • Experience with analytical and numerical tools (e.g. Matlab, ANSYS)
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics, rotor dynamics and/or electrical machines is an advantage
  • Solution-oriented personality with a healthy dose of pragmatism
  • Fluent in English and German (written and spoken)
