The electronics and software technician will work within the hardware and embedded firmware/software team to help in cabling, debugging, and adding new components/sensors into the Propulsion Test Rig.

The Propulsion Test Rig is a contained movable cell suitable for the testing of turbomachinery, combustion devices, and complete engines. Its main features are liquid and gas fuel availability, remote control, and safety. Measurements of pressure, temperature, vibrations, flow, and thrust are implemented.

Tasks
  • Work with the systems, hardware, and software team to improve our propulsion test rig.
  • Collaborate with hardware and software teams for initial testing of the propulsion test rig.
  • Support integration and testing at system level.
  • Support cabling activities.
  • Support testing phases.
  • Support debugging of hardware and software solutions.
Requirements
  • CFC in Electronics or equivalent.
  • Experience with test benches.
  • Experience with C, C++, or similar low-level language.
  • Experience with Python.
  • Experience with using Oscilloscope, Signal generators.
  • Experience with CAN , MODBUS, ethernet, UART, PCIE, USB protocols would be a plus.
  • Experience with testing power electronics.
  • Experience with pressure/temperature sensors.
  • Understanding of embedded Linux and Yokto.
  • Understanding of DC/DC converter design for higher powers.
  • English language and communication skills (verbal and in writing) on CEFR level B2.
