About the role :

Reporting directly to the Maintenance Supervisor and Assistant Maintenance Supervisor you will perform preventative maintenance of plant and equipment in accordance with OEM recommendations and manuals with a focus on maintaining safety. As a Maintenance Plant Fitter, you will work to achieving assigned KPI’s to achieve the McArthur River Mine Metallurgy Strategy.

Accountabilities:

  • Maintaining all areas of mechanical equipment to the highest standard to ensure plant availability.
  • Execute daily preventative maintenance tasks as per planned Maintenance Schedule for each week.
  • Plan to achieve 85% planned work each week from the maintenance schedule.
  • Carry out maintenance activities as per instructions from Maintenance Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor on a daily basis.
  • Ensure Apprentices/Trainees are trained and supported with their career development with onjob training.
  • Take personal responsibility for accurate completion of work to achieve maintenance budget plan.
  • Support and encourage the SafeWork system with all maintenance personnel.
  • Embed and drive an aligned culture that creates success.
  • Aim for Zero harm/incidents.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping both in the workshop and on the job.

Successful applicant will have:

  • Trade qualified (e.g., CERT III in Mechanical Fitting and Machining).
  • Crane ticket for non-slew crane (Desired).
  • Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets
  • High Risk – EWP, forklift, Dogman tickets
