Your main tasks
Lead a team of Hardware and Electronic engineers developing Ypsomed’s “state of the art” Insulin Infusion pumps. Actively drive concept generation, analysis and development of innovative electronics solutions and system architectures for our pumps in accordance with design development and control processes Responsibility for delivering functionally safe solutions with significant elements of cross-functional design outside the candidate’s expertise mechanical, software, firmware) Contribute to requirements definition, create design documentation and verification test plans Drive new component introduction and obsolescence management with third party suppliers Contribute to the continuous improvement of design and development processes within the department Participate in peer reviewing of the various hardware development artifacts Working knowledge of the following tools considered an advantage: Altium Designer, DOORS Next, Minitab Deliver work in compliance with ISO and FDA Medical Device Design Control processes Support the team with HW related verifications including CB certifications for IEC -1 Participate in our continuous learning programs sharing your considerable knowledge within our department
Your profile
Master level in hardware, electronic engineering or a related field A minimum of 5 years' hands-on involvement in developing embedded hardware solutions for medical devices, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and enhancing patient care and safety Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration, and responsiveness to meet project deadlines Team orientated, responsive and customer focused Very good knowledge of German and English (B2 or higher preferred)
