Purpose of position

Data sits at the heart of the company. This role is to ensure that Awin is able to leverage the data it has access to across the group and build out reporting to ensure we are able to make better commercial decisions and provide best-in-class campaign management to support client facing departments.
As a Data Product Owner, is your responsibility able to implement various methodologies of data integration, proactively identify additional data points, data quality issues and improvement potential. You understand data and business requirements and are able to translate into technical requirements and successfully apply your project experience and knowledge to lead data projects in particularly creating new and improving existing Machine Learning models. 
You take over the responsibilities of a Business/Data Analyst in a small developer group. Within the role, you are able to break down requirements with clear instructions to your squad team members and ensure stakeholder management.
You have proven communication and analysis skills. You are a strong team player, able to work with minimal supervision and keen to implement and improve our standards and working practices. As a member of Data Services department you will be working with a global team of data engineers and data analysts amongst other big data engineers within the organization.

Key tasks & accountabilities

Collect requirements/requests for any type of data cloud storage solutions enhancement or data project in a structured and focused way Outline business and technical specification documents in order to translate data projects into action Manage data/ML projects and oversees engineering work in order to support implementation, remove impediments and escalate across teams and departments, if necessaryTake charge of your team's communication with business stakeholders, ensuring a smooth flow of information and updatesSupervise and enhance the data integration proceduresBe responsible for data quality, accuracy and readiness of ML models in timely fashion for all kinds of reporting purposeProactively identify and collect additional sources by reaching out to business identifying gaps to improve our ML solutions Provide guidance and mentorship to your team, imparting knowledge in data science, data profiling, data models, SQL proficiency, automation and ticket handling and managementExecute analytical experiments to help businesses make decisions across various business units Work with large datasets to identify trends and patterns to build predictive models 

Education & experience

Bachelor degree or higher in Data Science, Data Engineering, Business Intelligence or similar education with focus on Data Science and Analytics;3+ years' experience as Data Analyst, Data Scientist, Data Engineer or similar;Very strong knowledge of analytics tools and inhouse reporting (Tableau, Power BI);Experience with Microsoft Azure tech stack (Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks, ADLS, Azure Event Hub, Azure SQL DB);Strong knowledge of scrum practices and agile mindset;Strong experience with machine learning (ML framework/libraries) and predictive modelling;Strong foundation in statistical procedures for accurate data analysis.
