Description

Union Bancaire Privée (UBP) is one of the largest family-owned private banks in the world. But what makes UBP really unique is its corporate culture, which combines modernity and tradition. Although UBP was founded in 1969, its origins can be traced back to the 17th century and the start of a long line of financiers and diplomats of whom Edgar de Picciotto and his descendants are the successors. Today, the Bank's staff draw their inspiration and drive from the founding family's subtle blend of strong moral values and pragmatism, which to this day remain the key to UBP’s success.

Mission

You will work on ESG (Environmental Social and Governance) issues within the fixed income team, specializing in investments in emerging countries.

Provide high quality service to our clients.

Main responsibilities

Analyze ESG performance of companies in emerging markets Conduct ESG engagement calls and follow-ups with investee companies Maintain and enhance ESG credit and investment analysis tools Prepare presentations on ESG topics Work closely with portfolio-managers and credit-analysts on ESG projects

6 months or 12 months internship, based in Zurich.

Education

Education: Bachelor Degree Certification: University degree in finance-related field with ESG experience Technical skills: ESG experience IT Tools: Word, Excel, Outlook

Experience

Years of experience: 0-3 : beginner Experience required: Degree in a finance-related field, and ESG-related experience, preferred internship and knowledge of financial markets Experience in private banking: Preferred

Language

English: Fluent

Personal skills

Swiss resident: N/A Ability to work effectively and proactively, both as part of a team and individually Strong motivation to get the job done right and on time, as well as high attention to detail Solid analytical and modeling skills (hands-on experience with Excel) Excellent communication skills
