About the role

The Demand Planner is responsible for the sales forecasting of an assigned region/product category in coordination with Sales and Marketing and the Demand Planning Manager. The role also provides support to Finance Planning & Analysis, mainly for budget preparation and quarterly revenue reforecast.

What you’ll do in the role

Demand Planning:

Build and maintain short, mid and long term product level forecasts. Develop forecasts by analysing shipments, market trends, seasonality, promotions, customer sell-out and by collaborating with Sales (customers) and Marketing and integrating their input. Challenge forecasts based on historical sales and market conditions. Review forecasts in the system (Demantra/Oracle) and work on forecast scenarios to improve the demand plan. Validate statistical forecast generated by Demantra. Work on improving the quality of statistical forecast. Leverage demand planning models and demand sensing. Run monthly Demand Reviews. Develop a strong relationship with Sales managers. Support S&OP (IBP) process by consolidating demand insights, discussing and reviewing forecasts with Sales in order to create a consensus plan. Accurately reflect agreed changes, follow up on action items. Support supply and demand alignment by communicating demand changes vs previous planning cycle. Continuously achieve demand planning improvement. Meet demand planning KPIs. Analyse demand plans vs actual performance and drive corrective actions, continuously improve forecast accuracy and bias. Present forecast accuracy for your area of responsibility. Track demand plan evolution. Monitor plan vs target. Take appropriate actions to execute the plan, by liaising with supply planning, customer service and be pro-active to meet sales and range targets. Be responsible for product allocations. Publish the demand plan. Prepare reports for Management and Sales Managers for monthly forecast freeze/lock in volume and value. Maintain 18 month rolling forecast. Participate in the S&OP (IBP) process jointly with the Supply Planner and engage with internal functions to further develop it. Develop tools, reports and provide analytical support. Work with the Marketing Department in order to identify possible deletions or additions to range. Get involved in product launches and product changes. Drive product changes and additions in the forecasting system.

Assist FP&A during AOP and budget updates:

Update sales projections in reporting systems: prepare input in Demantra for data transfer to Hyperion, validate data accuracy in Hyperion Run reports and prepare summaries

What will help you do the job well

Essential:

University degree in Economics or equivalent & previous experience in a Demand Planning role Computer literate (advanced xls & ppt knowledge a must) Knowledge of Demand Planning techniques Reporting skills Excitement about joining a midsize yet growing company with fast-growing brands
