The Assistant supports one or more Relationship Managers and Team Leaders (up to 3 total) within the Private Banking and Commercial Teams in daily operations, administration, client care, and relationship management.

He/she interacts with internal as well as external stakeholders, provides clients with relevant information and supports the RM in implementing customized solutions.

Furthermore, the assistant acts as role model in bringing the best service quality to the clients, the RMs and the Team Leaders in a fast, error-free, professional and friendly manner, and thus helping the team to manage and grow its current client base.

He/she channels client feedback to the relevant individuals/departments within the Bank to foster continuous improvement and fast adaptation of processes.

Reporting to the RM/Team Leader, the Assistant is responsible for the following:

  • Supports RMs in client interaction and all related tasks (systems, processes, files & documents) with high-quality, precision and timely responsiveness.
  • Responds along with the RMs to client requests in a timely manner (transfers, fiduciaries, reporting, mailings & SWIFTs).
  • Assists the RMs prepare client meetings and business trips, completes the post processing of client calls and client meetings.
  • Ensures adequate coverage during their own absences.
  • Organises himself/herself in an efficient and compliant manner.
  • As directed by the RMs, follow up with new and existing clients for completion of requirements/documentation/information related to KYCs.
  • Plans ahead and documents his/her work at all times.
  • Supports the RMs in implementation of projects and initiatives.
  • Provides feedback and proposals for improvements based on experience, incident occurrence or observation.
  • Actively helps managing risk (support first line of defence), i.e. in client documentation, supporting risk management by raising concerns, following up on issues and by escalating to the RMs when in doubt.
  • Ensures adherence to local regulations and compliance with internal policies and standards at all times. This includes tasks like new account openings, payment instructions, reviewing client phone calls, or signing off at their level of competence, in collaboration with the respective RMs.
  • Ensures timely clearance of pending items and escalation of deficiencies to RMs and other appropriate authorities.
  • Ensures appropriate ethical and compliant behaviour in his/her area of responsibility.
  • Inputs and ensures the correct, meaningful and understandable documentation of client interaction/client orders in the corresponding tool (e.g. CIM, BF, Apsys).

Required Qualifications:

  • Resident in Geneva (Swiss National or valid C Permit).
  • University degree from a recognized university (Business major preferred).
  • Fluent in English and French (Spanish a plus).
  • A minimum of 3 years in a similar position in a Swiss Bank.
  • Proven ability to successfully deal with internal and external clients.
  • Willingness to learn.
