About the team you are joining
The Data Scientistwill be responsible for designing and implementing cross-divisional datascience solutions to use cases that span across multiple business areas. Theideal candidate should have a strong understanding of statistical modelling,machine learning, and data analysis techniques. He/she will work closely withstakeholders across IATA to identify opportunities for using data to drivebusiness value and will be responsible for developing data science projectsfrom conception to delivery.
What your day would be like
Reporting to the Senior Data Scientist, youwill be an integral part of the Data Science team, collaborating with the DataArchitect and Data engineering team to create machine learning models andalgorithms to address complex business challenges.
Contribute to the IATA data-oriented future by leveragingyour knowledge, experience and skills to put data at the centre and transformhow we approach decision-making, project work and value-creation.
Collect, prepare and transform data, and recommend improvementsto the data environment and data collection process including data submissionformats and standards.
Develop and implement statistical modelling andmachine learning solutions that integrate with existing systems and processes.
Visualize and interpret analytical results for business andtranslate analytics into business language, present complex information tointernal and external stakeholders.
Participate as a member on the Artificial Intelligence TechnicalBoard, Gen AI Working Groups and other key internal data science communities.

Preferably a master’s degree in mathematics,engineering, physics or related discipline – a post graduate degree can beacceptable with more extensive practical experience.
Proficient quantitative, statistical, andprogramming skills – including experience in data science and analysis a aswell as experience in machine learning in the form of developing analytical andpredictive models.
5 years experience in Data Science or equivalentwork experience in advanced ML, time series or deep learning algorithms forregression, classification, forecasting or clustering problems.
Experience with natural language processingtechniques and Generative AI.
Experience with cloud-based machine learningservices such as AWS SageMaker and Snowflake.
Solid understanding of deep learning techniquesand frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
Experience with agile development methodologies,data or ML engineering is an advantage
