Regional Process Excellence and Innovation Director

As the Director for Process Excellence and Innovation, you will establish and oversee process improvements across Supply Chain (Q2C), drive business process and continuous improvement initiatives and champion automation and digitalization initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and quality within our regional air, ocean and road freight teams. You will play a critical role in the freight forwarding capabilities, overseeing the successful optimization of regional control towers by enforcing global process KPIs and working with partner teams like tech, data analytics teams and equip teams with optimized / digital solutions. This role involves working with multiple cross-functional global and regional teams along with external vendors / consultants.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify opportunities to implement latest disruptive initiatives aimed at reducing either time, productivity or increase in operations quality across teams Implement mechanisms to provide visibility of all innovation and tech projects to leadership Develop and manage the technology innovation budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to support strategic initiatives. Identify opportunities to implement automation tools across businesses impacting the supply chain positively Take ownership from initial phase of Pilots (to show proof-of-concept) till launch/go-live Automate and optimize Control Tower teams and equip them with digital and innovation-based tools for seamless operations execution and leadership visibility Define, audit and implement global processes and standard KPIs/metrics creating a common process of execution across teams and branches Work with data analytics and technical teams to build process excellence solutions Develop and document Current state and Future state of processes along with business cases on impact for leadership and stakeholder visibility Identify and support the development of metrics/measurement tools according to the customer’s requirements and DP World’s capabilities.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in business implementation, continuous improvement in the logistics industry. Proven knowledge of Process Excellence and innovation initiatives implementation in logistics or freight forwarding industry. Strong organizational skills (prioritize, plan, assign and control). Project management skills with the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects. Strong understanding of air and ocean freight operations and regulations. Goal and team driven, good motivator and facilitator to ensure that set targets are achieved. Exceptional communication and leadership abilities. 10+ years of experience in managing and delivering digital projects, driving technology-based innovation in large logistics or supply chain organizations with at least 5 years+ in a leadership role. In-depth knowledge of emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, blockchain, and data analytics. Excellent command in English. Any additional European language would be an advantage.Compensation
