The hotel is ideal for meetings and events with its newly renovated event facilities, including a grand historic ballroom.About the jobBased at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Food & Beverage Department in Zurich, the Restaurant Hostess is responsible for assisting the Restaurant team to always provide impeccable service to guests. The Restaurant Hostess reports to the Assistant Restaurant Manager and Restaurant Manager.As Restaurant Hostess, you will be responsible for the following tasks:Welcoming the guests to the restaurantHelping with the wardrobeSeating the guests according to the planPresentation of the menusHandling calls and queriesManaging table reservations and walk-insComplying with hygiene regulations and cleanliness within the framework of the HACCP guidelinesAs Restaurant Hostess, we expect from you:Warm welcoming personality with strong communication skills, both verbal and written - guests will approach you with both complaints and positive feedback, so you will always be open and approachableGood organisational skills with the ability to handle reservationsGood understanding of luxury service and willingness to go the extra mileExpressiveness, open-mindedness and team spiritGood IT skills, knowledge of the Infrasys cash register system and the SevenRooms booking system would be advantageousAbility to work under pressure and flexibility - your position includes weekend and holiday shiftsExcellent knowledge of German and English.
