Our research combines state-of-the-art optical and atomic force microscopy, microfluidics, tissue engineering, molecular biology, bacterial genetics, and single-cell analysis. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Technician to join our team full-time.Main duties and responsibilitiesGeneral laboratory managementMaintenance of cell stocks, plasmids, and reagent databasesProviding technical assistance to other lab members Experimental design and executionData analysis and presentationYour profileA Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) or equivalent, or a BSc/MSc in a related fieldExperience in laboratory organization and managementStrong attention to detail, precision, and organizational skillsGood communication skills in English (written and spoken)At least two years of hands-on laboratory experienceRelevant skills*Cell and tissue cultureOrganoidsOrgan-on-chip systemsMicrofluidicsFluorescence microscopyQuantitative image analysisMolecular biologyGeneral microbiologyBacterial geneticsInfection biology*We welcome applications from candidates who are experienced in one or more of these areas and strongly motivated to learn new skills.We offerMembers of the Laboratory of Microbiology and Microtechnology share a strong commitment to training and mentoring young scientists.
