Become part of our great team as a...SoftPulse Specialist – Electrical Engineering (f/m/d)Venture Unit Wearable SensorsThe Venture Unit Wearable Sensors are pioneers in soft dry electrodes for easy, comfortable, and long-term monitoring of bio-signals like EEG, ECG, EMG and EOG for consumer as well as medical applications.In this role, you'll drive the growth of our SoftPulse technology by developing dedicated acquisition platforms and hardware reference designs. You'll evaluate, design, test, and validate electronic systems for biopotential acquisition in various wearable form factors — from glasses to wristbands to earbuds.As our key technical contact for partners and suppliers, you'll lead collaborations to develop next-generation acquisition hardware and integrated platforms. Through systematic testing and component evaluation, you'll help shape the future of SoftPulse-compatible solutions and strengthen our position in wearable biosensing.Your ResponsibilitiesLead technical evaluations and collaborations with external partners and suppliers developing biopotential acquisition solutions relevant for SoftPulse electrodesDesign, prototype, and validate electronic circuits and corresponding firmware for biosignal acquisition (EEG, EMG, ECG, EOG) across wearable form factorsSelect and characterize electrical components (amplifiers, filters, ADCs, power management) suitable for high-impedance dry electrodes and low-noise signal acquisitionDevelop and execute test protocols for signal quality, impedance, and system performance; design and maintain testing fixtures and experimental setupsSupport internal and external stakeholders in integrating SoftPulse electrodes into their devices by providing hardware recommendations and system-level guidanceContribute to the development of a SoftPulse validation kit, including hardware reference designs and supporting software for data visualization and customer evaluationDocument designs, validation results, and best practices to build internal know-how and contribute to the definition of future proprietary solutions and patentsOur RequirementsWe are looking for an Electrical or Embedded Systems Engineer with a strong background in analog electronics and biosignal acquisition who is motivated to build the next generation of SoftPulse-based wearable sensing platforms.The ideal candidate combines solid fundamentals in circuit design with a practical mindset and enjoys working from concept to prototype to product.Degree in Electrical, Biomedical, or related engineering field (PhD or equivalent industry experience)Proven experience in analog electronics design, with understanding of noise analysis, filtering, high-impedance sensors and power/size optimizationHands-on experience in developing and testing electronics for low-noise biosignal acquisition or similar sensor systemsFamiliarity with CAD tools for schematic and PCB design (e.g., Altium, or similar)Experience in designing test fixtures and proficiency in using electrical test instrumentsProficient in firmware development for embedded systems (C/C++, etc.).
