SAP ABAP Team Lead - German-speakingAn experienced SAP SAP ABAP Team lead is required on a permanent basis to work for our client – an exciting Swiss retailer. As the lead of the SAP development team, you will oversee both the technical direction and people management aspects.The role is focused on ensuring stable, high-performing SAP systems (S/4HANA, Fiori, Solution Manager, etc.) and driving their continuous improvement in line with SAP standards and business needs.Responsibilities:• Lead, coach, and develop the internal SAP software development team.• Oversee the smooth operation of SAP systems within the development landscape.• Drive the continuous enhancement of the SAP system and ensure compliance with SAP best practices.• Prepare technical specifications, effort estimates, and make-or-buy recommendations.• Define sprint deliverables and manage releases with a focus on time-to-market.• Act as the key technical contact for external partners, ensuring smooth collaboration and delivery.Requirements:• Background in computer science with a strong understanding of programming languages and technical environments.• Several years of hands-on experience in full-stack SAP development using technologies such as ABAP, UI5, C#, JavaScript, TypeScript, and HTML.• Previous exposure to retail industry projects is highly beneficial.• Higher education in IT and prior management experience are an advantage.• Creative and solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on quality and delivery.• Strong customer orientation and excellent communication skills in German (fluent) and English (good working level).Further information:• Role type: Permanent• Start date: ASAP• Location: Luzerne, Switzerland• Pay rate: Competitive; based on experience
