Forward Deployment Engineer

We are looking for a Forward Deployment Engineer, specialising in Search, RAG, or GenAI with strong Python skills, and with relevant work experience in deploying and customising AI-driven software solutions for enterprise clients.As a Forward Deployment Engineer at Squirro, you will be at the forefront of implementing our cutting-edge solutions for clients. You will work closely with customers to understand their unique needs and tailor our platform to meet those requirements. This role demands a blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.Responsibilities:Client Engagement: Work directly with clients to understand their business challenges and data landscape.Solution Implementation: Deploy and configure Squirro's RAG and insights platform in client environments.Data Integration: Design and implement data integration pipelines to ingest data from various sources into the Squirro platform.Customization and Development: Develop custom components, integrations, and extensions to enhance the Squirro platform and meet specific client needs.Technical Support and Training: Provide technical support and training to clients on how to use the Squirro platform effectively.Collaboration: Collaborate with Squirro's product, engineering, and sales teams to ensure successful deployments and continuous product improvement.AI Stack: Leverage your knowledge of Knowledge Graphs (KGs), Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI in general to customize Squirro's platform to enhance chat functionalities and improve the relevance and accuracy of search results.Required Skills and Experience:5+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role, such as a solutions engineer or consultant.Strong understanding of structured and unstructured data integration principles and technologies.Experience with search technologies, such as Elasticsearch or OpenSearch.Experience with programming (preferrably Python and/or JavaScript) and software development methodologies.Experience with AI and machine learning.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Ideally prior experience with Linux, including familiarity with on premise and cloud platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.Optionally experience with Knowledge Graph technology, specifically the RDF / SKOS ecosystems.Ideally, you also have:Experience with customizing search functionalities for enterprise clients.Experience in developing and deploying chat applications, ideally involving LLMs.A strong understanding of the applications of AI in enterprise search, including knowledge graphs, text analytics, and machine learning.Proficiency in the Squirro platform or similar cognitive search solutions is a plus.Who you are:You are a curious and analytical thinker with a passion for solving complex problems and delivering tangible value to clients.You can deal with challenges and are able to find the best technical solution.You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic enviroment.You are a strong team player with a collaborative approach.What we offer:A start-up like environment and culture, fast-paced and agile with quick decision-making.An environment where team members at all levels can make a difference.Opportunity to work on search and AI projects using cutting edge technologies.Ongoing feedback as part of our working culture to grow and develop.We believe in life-long learning and supporting the development of our staff.About SquirroBusinesses capitalize on new opportunities, improve client relations, and optimize decision-making capabilities using Squirro's vertical-specific Augmented Intelligence solutions, which combine human intelligence with powerful AI.
