Experience in machine learning and artificial intelligence. Preferred qualifications:Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field. 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization. Experience programming in Python. ResponsibilitiesLead the strategic direction and operational execution of the RoadsNext (go/roadsnext-intro) team within the SOLA team (go/sola-mission). Drive the incubation and productionization of computer vision and AI research at scale, in close collaboration with partner teams into production. Leverage computer vision or ML expertise to provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers and research engineers. Build a culture of high-quality product delivery, data-driven decision-making, and bold innovation to solve problems that others deem difficult. Manage a team of engineers, hire for open headcount, and work with the team on short and medium-term deliverables across Geo Auto, Geo Developer, Geo Consumer, and Cloud. Prioritize continuous learning, contribute to sustainable solutions, and enhance the Google Maps product. Focus on technical growth and impactful contributions.
