We are currently hiring German Language Teachers to provide face-to-face customized lessons to our clients in Bern, Switzerland.Job Information: Reference: 188740/ adult & 1 childFor the adult:Availability: Tuesday morning (8:00am – 12:00pm); Thursday morning (8:00am – 12:00pm) Preferred start date: ASAPLesson Frequency: 2x a week Lesson Duration: 1h per sessionStudent's location/: Near Spittalgasse, Bern – Student's office.Current target language level: Complete beginnerNative and other spoken languages: Romanian, English advanced, Italian beginnerStudent's language needs and goals: She would like to be able to handle basic day to day activities in the local language: going to the grocery store, ordering at restaurant, doctor appointments, connects with local authorities for regular paperwork, asking for directionsFor the child - 10-years-old• Availability: Tuesday evening (4:00pm - 8:00pm)• Thursday evening (4:00pm - 8:00pm)• Preferred start date: ASAP• Lesson Frequency: 2x a week• Lesson Duration: 1 hr per session• Student's location/: Near Spittalgasse, Bern – Student's office.• Current target language level: Complete beginner• Native and other spoken languages: Romanian, English - advanced• Student's language needs and goals: Be able to handle basic communications in the local language: safety, directions, transport, shopping. It may also be a good introduction as she will be learning the language in school as of 2026, as the 3rd language.• Building vocabulary• Safety and emergency information• Common phrases native speakers use every day• Holiday celebrations• Popular hobbies or interests in the new country• A guide to shopping• Culture of their new country• Sharing feedback and opinions• How to be polite in the new country• Using public transportation• Phone calls• Writing• Listening comprehension tips and strategies• School-related vocabulary• Making friends• ReadingResponsibilities:Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessonsDeveloping curricula based on learners' proficiency level and desired outcomesMonitoring students' progress and guiding learners towards learning goalsCommunicating in an efficient, effective, and professional mannerQualifications:To have native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in the German languageTo have a degree or certification in teaching, linguistics, or similar fieldTo have a minimum of two years of teaching German language experienceAll Global LT instructor positions are freelance positions.
