We offer a stimulating work environment, ample opportunities for growth and development, and the chance to make a significant impact on the future of medicine.If you are a motivated and talented scientist with a passion for biomedical research, we invite you to apply and become a part of our dynamic team at Novartis.Your job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:Expanding and maintaining mammalian cells in suspension from small to large scale (up to 100L).Using stably transfected CHO cells for the expression of recombinant antibodies, antibody fragments and proteins with single-use systems.Generating hypotheses, designing and executing follow-up experiments, and troubleshooting issues with input from senior lab members or the manager.Reviewing literature to develop and implement novel technology solutions.Actively participating in lab organization, including maintaining equipment and preparing sterile devices for production.Documenting results in detail, presenting research updates, and participating constructively in project teams and at lab meetings.Minimum Requirements - What you will bring to the role:At least 1 year of relevant work experience in industry with MSc University degree in a relevant life science discipline, or at least 3 years of relevant work experience in industry with either a completed Apprenticeship or BSc University degree in a relevant life science discipline.Please note that we do not require a PhD level candidate for this role.Good theoretical and strong practical laboratory experience in mammalian cell technology (stable cell lines, Wave culture systems), cell biology and sterile techniqueHigh learning ability to acquire expertise in new technologies and technical equipmentProven experience in successfully prioritizing and keeping timelinesExcellent organizational skills with the ability to run multiple projects in parallelIndependent and accurate working style, results-driven and committed to qualityOpen and proactive communication, strong customer focus, ability to interact with various stakeholdersReliable and flexible team player, accustomed to sharing tasks and projectsFluency in English (oral/written); German advantageousDesirable skills:Solid experience in one of the neighboring disciplines (Molecular Biology, Protein Purification)*Restrictions on flexible working requirements may apply and can be discussed at interview stages as necessaryAccessibility and accommodation:Novartis is committed to working with and providing reasonable accommodation to all individuals.
