We have committed to achieving net zero by 2040.To learn more about how we can supercharge progress for you, visitRole PurposeThe Migration ETL Developer will play a critical technical role in Julius Baer's core banking transformation programmes, focusing on the design, development, and execution of secure, high-quality data migration flows into target systems such as Temenos T24. UsingInformatica PowerCenter and Informatica Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC), the developer will ensure efficient extraction, transformation, cleansing, and loading of sensitive banking data while maintaining strict compliance with data governance and privacy standards.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and maintainrobust ETL workflowsusingInformatica (on-premise and cloud - IDMC) to support large-scale data migration from heterogeneous source systems.Experience in using Powerexchange to access Mainframe source system would be an added advantage.Implement scalable data integration jobs coveringextract, transform, cleanse, enrich, and load (ETL/ELT)processes within both batch and near-real-time environments.Conductdata profilingto assess source data quality, uncover inconsistencies, duplicates, missing values, and structural anomalies affecting migration integrity.Collaborate with Business Analysts and Data Architects to interpret mapping specifications and translate them into executable ETL logic.Performreconciliation and delta analysisbetween source and target systems to validate completeness, accuracy, and consistency of migrated datasets.Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, connectivity issues, and job failures across development, testing, and production environments.Securely handleclient-sensitive datain line with Swiss banking regulations (FIDLEG, MAR, GDPR) and Julius Baer's internal data protection policies.Document ETL designs, data lineage, interface specifications, and support operational handover post-go-live.Participate in agile sprints, code reviews, testing cycles (SIT/UAT), and production cutover activities.Essential QualificationsMinimum7-10 years of ETL development experiencein enterprise banking or financial services environments.Proven hands-on expertise withInformatica PowerCenterandInformatica Cloud (IDMC preferred), including connectors, taskflows, and monitoring dashboards.Strong skills inSQL, PL/SQL, and relational databases (Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, DB2).Demonstrated experience indata profiling, quality assessment, and reconciliation techniques.Solid understanding of dimensional modelling, metadata management, and CDC (Change Data Capture) concepts.Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).Preferred AttributesPrior involvement incore banking migrations(e.g., to T24, FinSuite, or equivalent).Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and integration with IDMC.Basic knowledge of banking domains: client master, accounts, holdings, transactions, limits.Awareness of Swiss regulatory requirements impacting data handling and reporting.Technical AccountabilitiesDeliver high-performance, well-documented ETL solutions meeting functional and non-functional requirements.Ensure all data movements areauditable, reversible, and error-handledaccording to bank standards.Guarantee successful end-to-end data reconciliation across migration waves.If you would like to explore opportunities with HCLTech please visit our website If you submit an application for a job in HCLTech, we process your personal data in accordance with HCLTech's Candidate Data Privacy Notice.
