You will design and evolve the systems, automation, and practices that keep our SaaS products reliable, observable, and secure as we scale globally.You will work closely with Platform, Security, and Product teams to embed reliability and performance into every layer of the stack, ensuring our ability to deploy rapidly and repeatedly so that innovation, performance and stability move in lockstep.Your key tasksDesign, implement, and manage observability stacks (metrics, logs, traces) using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetryDevelop reliability automation and self-healing systems to detect and remediate issues proactivelyEstablish and monitor SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to drive data-informed reliability improvementsCollaborate with engineering teams to design resilient architectures, load balancing, and capacity management strategiesOptimize CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation to reduce operational toil and riskLead incident response and post-mortem practices to drive continuous learning and system hardeningDefine cloud-agnostic reliability standards supporting multi-cloud operations across AWS, Azure, and GCPDesign and implement robust disaster recovery solutions ensuring seamless 24x7 operationsPartner with Security and Compliance teams to ensure operational processes align with regulatory expectations (PCI DSS, SOC2, GDPR)Contribute to a culture of shared ownership, mentoring engineers on reliability, scalability, and observability practicesQualifications5+ years of experience in Site Reliability or DevOps roles for distributed, cloud-native systemsStrong command of infrastructure and automation technologies (Terraform, Helm, Ansible, Kubernetes)Deep understanding of monitoring, alerting, and incident management frameworksExperience operating across at least two major cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Go, or Bash for automation and toolingProven ability to design and manage highly available, fault-tolerant architecturesKnowledge of security and compliance requirements in financial or regulated environmentsExcellent collaboration and communication skills, with a pragmatic approach to balancing speed and stabilityAdditional InformationWe realize that managing work life balance is a challenge we all face in our daily lives and in order to support with this we are pleased to offer hybrid and flexible working for most of our Avaloqers to maintain work life balance and still continue our fantastic Avaloq culture in our global offices.
