DescriptionSecurities Settlements Analyst______________________________________________________________________Location: Zurich, SwitzerlandType: Full-timeDepartment: Financial Markets_______________________________________________________________________SummaryThe Securities Settlements Analyst ensures timely and accurate settlement of securities transactions across global markets. This role is critical in maintaining operational efficiency, mitigating settlement risk, and supporting client satisfaction through precise execution and issue resolution.ResponsibilitiesTrade Settlement Execution:Capture, instruct, and monitor securities and funds settlement orders.Ensure timely settlement of client transactions in global markets.Liaise with custodians, counterparties, and internal teams to resolve settlement issues and failed tradesPerform pre-settlement activities (e.g. cashflow confirmations, SSI updates)Perform post-settlement activities (e.g. fails management, break resolution) Custody and Asset Transfers:Support custody settlement services as a global custodian.Facilitate accurate realignments and migrations of client securities positions between financial institutionsSWIFT Messaging:Utilise SWIFT MT54x messages for settlement instructions and confirmations.Monitor and reconcile money movements including purchases, redemptions, and dividendsClient Service Support:Address queries from front office, dealers, and clients regarding trade settlements.Collaborate with client service teams to ensure smooth transaction processingCompliance and Controls:Ensure adherence to trading standards and internal control structures.Participate in testing and implementation of new system releases and process improvementsEligibility RequirementsEducation:Ideally a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or related field.Experience:Ideally, 1–5 years of relevant experience in securities settlements, custody operations, or financial services.Exposure to global products and settlement processesTechnical Skills:Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Familiarity with SWIFT messaging and settlement platforms (e.g. DTCC, Markitwire).Understanding of fixed income, equity and FX products along with their associated transaction lifecycle.
