The opportunityWe are seeking a motivated and skilled Junior Project Manager Primary Engineering to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the technical planning and execution of gas-insulated switchgear projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards.How You Will Make An ImpactTechnical detailing of the high voltage part of gas-insulated switchgear in customer projects, including preparation of all documents for order, fabrication, assembly and customersDiscussion of technical solutions with customers and internal stakeholdersPlanning and managing an engineering part in customer projects, including costs, deadlines and scope of deliveryOrdering of material including configuration of the materialManagement of technical communication channels internally as well as externallyDetailed elaboration of quality cases and improvement processesTechnical support of the project until completion of on-site assemblyOccasional travel to customer meetings or site visitsYour backgroundBachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering1-3 years of relevant work experience in project engineering, ideally with gas-insulated switchgear or in a similar field in high-voltageProficiency in CAD software (e.g. Creo, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools and experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applicationsFamiliar with supporting various project phases, including production, transportation, installation, and testingStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and escalate issuesExperience in coordinating resources, including materials and equipmentAbility to work effectively within an international team environment and collaborate with other departmentsFluent in English; proficiency in other languages (e.g. German, Spanish or French) is a plusMore About UsOur flexible work practices help you optimize personal and business performance while creating an environment where all employees can develop their skills and grow.Hitachi Energy is a global technology leader in electrification, powering a sustainable energy future through innovative power grid technologies with digital at the core.
