Provids a safe, efficient, and effective airfield environment for aircraft operations.Responsibilities:Ensure that Airport functions as expected and employees conduct themselves professionallyConduct airfield inspections and checks, manages flightline driving programPlan holidays so that work tasks are maintained at all timesPrepare proposals for optimizing/streamlining operations in the departmentEnsure that the selected technologies and solutions are used to carry out the department's tasksResponsible for preparing, maintaining and updating all necessary procedures and manuals, and making sure employees work according to the documentsReports on deviations to ManagementEnsure that the department's employees have the necessary skills and qualifications, including that everyone is cross-trained in relation to their areas of responsibilityResponsible for maintaining training record for local qualificaiont traning, recurring/proficiency training and documentation of actual training completed.Ensure good communication and cooperation with other departmentsOrganizing various staff interviewsEnsure that the work is carried out in a safe mannerOther duties as assigned.Qualifications:EDUCATIONMust possess a USAF Airfield Manger Position Certification or Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) equivalent training at start of assignment.English level 3, Read, speck, and writeDriver's license BMinimum 3 years of experience with Airport/airfield Management AM (military or civilian) supervisory and/or management level training and experience planning, organizing and executing AM duties.Completed AM- PCG'sCompleted AM CBT's and Advanced Distributed Learning ServiceEXPERIENCESolid management experience, minimum 3 years (military or civilian) supervisory and/or management level training and experience planning, organizing and executing duties.Leadership training is an advantageKnowledge of performing work under a Contractor Performance Work Statements and other contractual mattersAbility to provide clear communication at all levels, good cooperation skills and organizational understandingComprehensive overview of tasks in the departmentWorked at an austere remote location under extreme weather conditionsClearing runways, taxiways, ramps, engine run-up pads, runway overruns, airfield access roads, and helicopter landing areasMaintaining and airfield and flight advisory messagesSKILLSOpen-minded leader who practices cooperation and lays a common foundation for the departmentVisible, welcoming and open with the ability to act when needed.Flexible and able to compromiseSees opportunities and challenges instead of limitations and problemsAbility to handle many tasks while maintaining a comprehensive overviewCapable of leading the way for employees and USAFNatural and broad sense of serviceDesire to familiarize oneself with new work tasks if requiredOTHER REQUIREMENTSMust annually complete the Airfield Criteria, Standards, and Facilities Computer-Based Training (CBT) course developed by Air Force Civil Engineer Center (AFCEC), the Airfield Manager Position Certification Guide (PCG), the Airfield Inspection CBT, Flight-Line Drivers Training CBT and the Wildlife Hazard Management CBT.Must be able to pass a medical and drug screeningMust be able to otain and maintain a Common Access CardMust be able to successful clear a background checkMust be able to work holidays, weekends, and long shiftsMust be able to lift up to 20lbs unassisted.Must be able to work in unfavorable conditions of temperatures below 32 degreesAt V2X, we are deeply committed to both equal employment opportunity, including protection for Veterans and individuals with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive and diverse workplace.
