Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 1 year of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
  • 1 year of experience with data structures and algorithms.
  • 1 year of experience with full-stack development, with back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with programming experience in C++.
  • Experience with infrastructures.
  • Knowledge of Large Language Models (LLMs) and exposure to Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools.
  • Ability to work on data quality.

The team has launched many search units in the past and now shifted the focus towards content understanding which is needed for integration with AI mode. The team collaborates with other teams who supplement the content (e.g., by extraction from the web.)In Google Search, we're reimagining what it means to search for information – any way and anywhere. To do that, we need to solve complex engineering challenges and expand our infrastructure, while maintaining a universally accessible and useful experience that people around the world rely on. Responsibilities
  • Write product or system development code.
  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to select among available technologies.
  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).
  • Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback.
  • Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
