About the Role

We are looking for a passionate and skilled
Senior Azure Cloud Engineer
to join our cloud engineering team in
Bern
. In this role, you will design, implement, and support scalable and secure cloud solutions using Microsoft Azure.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design and implement robust Azure-based solutions leveraging services such as
    IaaS
    ,
    networking
    ,
    security
    ,
    Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)
    , and
    serverless computing
    .
  • Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to define and implement
    CI/CD pipelines
    , automated deployments, and monitoring.
  • Apply your
    software engineering background
    to develop reusable cloud components, APIs, and automation tools.
  • Utilize
    Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
    tools such as
    Terraform
    to provision and manage cloud environments.
  • Promote and apply the
    Azure Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
    where applicable.

Your Profile

  • Strong background in
    software development
    , with familiarity in modern programming languages and development methodologies.
  • Proven experience with
    Microsoft Azure
    , particularly in areas such as
    IaaS
    ,
    networking
    ,
    security
    ,
    AKS
    , and
    serverless architectures
    .
  • Experience with
    automation tools
    and frameworks such as
    Terraform
    ,
    Ansible
    ,
    ARM templates
    , and CI/CD systems like
    Azure DevOps
    ,
    GitHub Actions
    , or similar.
  • Solid understanding of
    DevOps practices
    ,
    cloud-native architectures
    , and
    software engineering principles
    .
  • Azure certifications
    (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure DevOps Engineer) and knowledge of the
    Cloud Adoption Framework (CAF)
    are a strong plus.
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, share insights, and solve problems in a team-oriented environment.
  • Fluent in
    German
    and
    English
    (both written and spoken).
