Group Financial Accounting

For our client, a commodity trading group, we are looking for a:
Group Financial Accounting Specialist
Responsibilities:
- Preparing the Group financial statements in accordance with IFRS standards
- Analytical review of the Group balance sheet and P&L accounts
- Keeping up with technical accounting principles to ensure all reporting requirements are met and implemented effectively
- Participate in the Group's monthly and annual closing processes
- Preparing and participating in annual audits
- Review standalone financial statements (IFRS/Swiss CO/others).
- Contributing to the continuous development and improvement of the Group's processes and procedures
- Collaborating with other team members in Geneva and internationally as needed.
Profile:
- Degree in accounting, control, or finance
- Mandatory accounting certification (Swiss CPA, ACCA, DEC or equivalent)
- Previous experience in accounting or auditing within a Big 4 firm for the commodity trading, energy or big corporations
- Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards
- Ability to meet tight deadlines during closing and reporting periods
- Leadership skills, ability to work both in a team and independently, and excellent communication skills
- Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written)
