Paint It Easy is looking for an art teacher to work with our core team teaching children and teens classes at our studios in Zurich.
As an art teacher, you will be responsible for leading students through a 2h00 art class, fostering a positive environment and encouraging creativity and self-expression among students.
Being effective requires the ability to work in an environment that necessitates projecting one's voice for effective communication, leading classes with confidence and approachability, and creating a welcoming atmosphere without being overbearing.
You must reside in Zurich or outskirts and have a valid working permit to be considered for the job.
Responsibilities
• Prepare the classroom or studio by gathering and setting up equipment.
• Provide step-by-step instruction and guidance on the use of different media, while keeping the class light and fun all the while supporting students according to their varying needs.
• Assess the skills of students and adapt the curriculum to ensure creative and engaging lesson plans
• Monitor inventory and communicate art supplies needs to the team.
Requirements
• Demonstrated excellence in a variety of art techniques and areas. Experience with acrylic painting, watercolors, fine tip pens, charcoal, soft and oil pastels, clay, drawing, illustration, sculpting, and crafts.
• Skilled in operating within an environment that demands strong vocal projection, effective leadership with a balanced mix of firmness and approachability, and a consistently cheerful and inviting attitude.
• Bachelor's degree in Art Teaching or equivalent.
• Criminal record.
• Proven work experience as an art teacher.
• Good communication skills in English. German would be a plus.
• Ability to motivate and inspire others
• You must reside in Zurich or outskirts and have a valid working permit.
