Adjunct Lecturer - Business Research Methods (UG and Graduate)

Roles and Responsibilities
Academic delivery
teach courses in an engaging and stimulating manner to graduate and undergraduate students;
- thorough organization of the term, preparation for class meetings, encouraging students' active participation in in-class and homework assignments;
- conduct classes according to the set schedule and optimally use the entirety of the class hours at their disposal with the students; the set class schedule cannot be altered or abbreviated;
- keep themselves current in the entrepreneurial ecosystem and effective teaching techniques;
- prepare a comprehensive teaching plan and syllabus for each course, which shall be submitted to the administration before the start of the academic term;
- prepare the course material for all their lectures and submit the examinations for review at least one week before the set exam date(s) to the administration; HBS reserves the right to assess the overall standard of course content and course management and request necessary adjustments throughout the term if needed;
- adhere to and strictly follow the grading, testing, and student evaluation system made and implemented by the administration;
return the corrected students' submissions, examinations, reports, evaluations, and grades within a given deadline by the administration.
Student support
respond to individual student academic ideas and questions, dedicating time to meet with students outside the classroom, during office hours;
undertake supervisory responsibilities for Capstone projects.
Strategic management and administration
support HBS in the achievement of its mission and strategic aspirations;
- contribute to processes related to the course and program development and review;
- take part in activities aimed at the enhancement of the quality of educational learning outcomes and faculty peer development;
- attend faculty meetings.
Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a master's degree in the field of the taught discipline. A doctoral degree (Ph.D.) in the field of the taught discipline is highly valued.
Professional Experience: Substantial industry experience is important, as adjunct lecturers are expected to bring real-world knowledge and expertise into the classroom. Generally, a minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the relevant field is expected, but this requirement may vary based on the specific subject and level of instruction.
Teaching Experience: While not always mandatory, prior teaching experience, especially in higher education or professional training settings, is desirable. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to students is crucial.
English Proficiency: Fluency in English is essential, as the institution operates in the English language. Strong written and verbal communication skills are vital for effective teaching and interaction with students.
Subject Knowledge: In-depth knowledge and expertise in the specific subject area(s) being taught are necessary. Adjunct lecturers should be well-versed in the latest developments, trends, and best practices in their field of specialization.

Industry Connections: A network of professional contacts and connections within relevant industries can enhance the learning experience for students, as adjunct lecturers can provide valuable insights and facilitate opportunities for internships, projects, or guest speakers.
Teaching Innovations: Familiarity with innovative teaching methods, technology integration, and online teaching platforms can be beneficial, as it allows for engaging and interactive instruction that meets the needs of modern learners.
Research and Publications: A record of research publications, conference presentations, or other scholarly activities can be advantageous. It demonstrates a commitment to staying current in the field and contributing to knowledge.
International Experience: Experience working or studying in an international context, particularly in the business or academic realms, is desirable. It indicates cultural awareness, adaptability, and an understanding of global business practices.
