Die Eidgenössische Forschungsanstalt für Wald, Schnee und Landschaft WSL gehört mit rund 600 Mitarbeitenden zum ETH-Bereich. Sie befasst sich mit der nachhaltigen Nutzung und dem Schutz der Umwelt sowie mit einem verantwortungsvollen Umgang mit Naturgefahren.
Die Forschungseinheit Wirtschafts- und Sozialwissenschaften bearbeitet sozialwissenschaftliche Fragen zu den WSL-Forschungsthemen und sucht per 1. Juli 2026 oder nach Vereinbarung eine
Gruppenleitung Sozial-ökologische Transformation 80% (w/m/d)
Sie bauen die neue Forschungsgruppe "Sozial-ökologische Transformation" auf und leiten diese wissenschaftlich und administrativ. Sie forschen zum Themenbereich sozial-ökologische Transformation in Bezug auf WSL-Kernthemen sowie auf Schwerpunktthemen der WSL-Strategie 2035. Je nach Themenstellung arbeiten Sie inter- und transdisziplinär mit Kollegen und Kolleginnen aus den Sozial- und Naturwissenschaften und aus der Praxis. Sie setzen qualitative und quantitative Forschungsmethoden ein, insbesondere auch solche, die sich für die Transformationsforschung eignen (z.B. Reallabor, Visionierung). Sie akquirieren Forschungsmittel, leiten Forschungsprojekte und betreuen wissenschaftliche Qualifikationsarbeiten. Ihre Forschungsergebnisse veröffentlichen Sie in wissenschaftlichen Fachzeitschriften und setzen diese in weiteren geeigneten Formaten um. Bei Interesse können Sie sich in der universitären Lehre engagieren.
Sie sind in einem umweltsozialwissenschaftlichen Fach promoviert (z.B. Humangeographie, Transformationsforschung, Umweltpolitologie, -ökonomie, -soziologie) und können auf eine erfolgreiche Laufbahn im Gebiet der sozial-ökologischen Transformation verweisen. Dies schliesst die Akquise von Forschungsprojekten, die aktive Publikations- und Umsetzungstätigkeit sowie die erfolgreiche Leitung von Teams mit Doktorierenden und Post-Doktorierenden inkl. deren Betreuung ein. Sie sind eine integrative und engagierte Persönlichkeit und die Zusammenarbeit mit Stakeholdern in ihrem Fachgebiet ist Ihnen vertraut. Sie verfügen über ausgezeichnete Führungs- und Kommunikationsfähigkeiten. Sie sind kompetent im Umgang mit einem breiten Portfolio an Forschungsmethoden und interessiert an der Zusammenarbeit mit Kollegen und Kolleginnen aus den Naturwissenschaften. Sie beherrschen Deutsch und Englisch fliessend in Wort und Schrift und können sich gut in einer zweiten Landessprache verständigen.
