Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced
Design Engineer
with expertise in aircraft fuselage structures (ATA 53) to join our team in Switzerland.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design primary fuselage structures including skin panels, frames, stringers, longerons, bulkheads, and splices.
  • Develop 3D CAD models, layouts, and detailed drawings for fuselage structures.
  • Design cutouts, attachments, reinforcements, and interfaces for doors, windows, avionics, and systems.
  • Collaborate with systems and interiors teams for integration of ducts, wiring, and panels.
  • Prepare structural drawings, schematics, and BOMs.
  • Ensure compliance with
    CS-25 / FAR 25 airworthiness requirements
    .
  • Ensure fuselage designs meet damage tolerance, flammability, and crashworthiness requirements.
  • Provide engineering support for fleet structural issues, damage repairs, and service bulletins.
  • Apply knowledge of metallic and composite structures, fuselage assemblies, joints, and attachments.
  • Select materials based on strength, fatigue, corrosion, and flammability criteria.
  • Apply bonding, fastening, riveting, and welding techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (systems, interiors, avionics, structures).
  • Execute change management processes and work independently and collaboratively.
  • Handle PLM/PDM tools efficiently.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical, or Aerospace Engineering.
  • 10+ years
    of relevant experience in aircraft fuselage design.
  • Proficiency in
    NX
    (3D/2D aircraft structure modeling) and
    Teamcenter
    .
  • Experience with aircraft models such as A320, A330, B787, A350, B737, G650, G700.
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills.
  • Familiarity with
    EASA CS-25 / FAA FAR 25
    structural requirements.
