Junior Trader

Assist in money market and foreign exchange trading activities, including FX spot, FX forward, and FX swap under the guidance of senior traders; support the execution of funding plans and bond investment strategies; participate in daily account balance support and market data analysis; prepare routine trading reports and assist with regulatory and internal compliance documentation; support counterparty communication and coordination; assist in daily risk limit monitoring and business liaison with Head Office and related departments.

Responsibilities


• Assist in daily treasury and funding operations, including account balance tracking and exposure monitoring.


• Assist in intra-day liquidity monitoring and liquidity risk management support.


• Assist in global financial market trading activities, including FX spot, FX forward, FX swap, IRS, and CCS.


• Assist in money market and bond trading execution and position monitoring.


• Monitor real-time risk limits and report exceptions to senior traders.


• Assist in monitoring counterparty credit limits, FX exposure, daily P/L, PVBP and other trading risk indicators.


• Operate and maintain trading systems including GITS, GILMP, XPAD, QE, IMA, DEALING, and 360T.


• Support counterparty communication and basic relationship maintenance.


• Support the implementation of treasury and global market policies and procedures in accordance with Head Office and local regulatory requirements.


• Prepare and assist in regular regulatory and Head Office reports.


• Complete other tasks assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications


• Person specification

min. Master degree in Finance or Economics qualification.

Best to have CFA/ FRM/ other certificate.


• Experience

Candidates with exposure to treasury and global financial market trading and/or risk management, especially in the banking or financial institutions sector, are preferred.

Basic understanding of treasury and global financial market business operations is required.


• Essential & Desirable Skills

Fluent English knowledge is a must. Chinese is a strong advantage.

Good MS Office skills, particularly strong capabilities in MS Excel.

Be able to work independently

Capacity for multitasking.

Beyond reproach, ability to maintain a high level of integrity.

Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

Positive "can-do" attitude, able to work under pressure and handle tight timelines.
