Key Responsibilities

  • Coordination of holistic data topics (incl. migration) in the S/4 program and primary point of contact for RE data leads and senior data managers (data management organisation) as well as S/4 program management
  • Develop and maintain BAPI wrappers to expose standard and custom business logic for mass loads and reconciliations.
  • Extend IDoc structures and processing (add custom segments/fields, maintain inbound/outbound processing logic) to carry required migration loads.
  • Create new RFC/function modules and service interfaces for custom data objects when no standard load method exists; design stable, performant load endpoints and bulk-processing logic suitable for migration runs.
  • Guide and support Data developers in analysing and enhancing the SAP Migration Cockpit integration points (e.g., LTMOM/adapter extensions) to add additional fields, adjust mapping hooks, and resolve technical issues encountered during conversion and load.
  • Provide end-to-end responsibility for all data topics within the S/4 program, including strategy, conception, design, migration, validation and operational handover across Passenger Services Production and Infrastructure implementation units.
  • Assumes deputies in the management of data migration and manages data management (conception, migration) as a whole within the S/4 program
  • Coordinate closely with enterprise architects, specialist leads and Digital Solutions (DSO) key roles to agree on data models, interfaces (OData/UI5/Fiori where relevant), security, data protection and archiving approaches and ensure migration requirements are covered end-to-end.
  • Extension of the migration concepts for the two largest implementation units (Passenger Services Production and Infrastructure) together with the RE data leads
  • Risk management and controlling of all financial resources and resources in the shared service Data management

Mandatory criteria

  • More than 5 years of experience in data management and data migration in complex SAP programs with modules MM, PP, PM, QM, SD, LOG, PPM PS, FI, CO
  • Specific ABAP capabilities: development of BAPI wrappers, IDoc extension/customization (additional segments/fields), creation of new RFC/function modules for custom data objects where no standard load exists, and hands-on support/extension of the SAP Migration Cockpit adapters and mappings.
  • Knows the dependencies of the SAP migration objects across all modules and can abstract the loading sequence over time
  • Experience in agile project approaches and good knowledge of planning (dependencies),
  • backlog management in complex Jira structures
  • Risk management Experience in identifying and incorporating risks in the ongoing migration process, which are then clarified and eliminated in collaboration with the teams.
  • Hands-on experience in data modelling with SAP data types
  • Practical experience with migration automation tools (SAP Data Services, Migration Cockpit) from SAP and NON-SAP data
  • Strong soft skills with clear, targeted communication (English and German), secure stakeholder management and efficient collaboration across time zones
