For our client, a well-established organisation operating a sophisticated international structure of commercial, financial holding, and manufacturing entities in Switzerland, we are seeking a skilled Senior Accounting Specialist (m/f/d). The company is recognised for its strong presence in the Swiss market, supported by robust financial infrastructure and a commitment to the highest accounting standards across multiple jurisdictions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Act as the main point of contact for sophisticated accounting judgements and intricate financial transactions
  • Ensure precise and timely recording of business transactions while maintaining compliance with international accounting standards (US GAAP, IFRS, Swiss Code of Obligations)
  • Contribute to the preparation of annual statutory financial statements and tax reports, including consolidated financials and documentation for statutory audits
  • Play a pivotal role in coordinating internal and external audit processes
    • Develop and maintain robust internal control frameworks and accounting procedures
  • Collaborate closely with the Business Services Center on transaction-level operations
  • Deliver comprehensive financial analyses and regular performance updates to senior management

Your Profile

  • Solid expertise in international accounting frameworks (US GAAP, IFRS, Swiss Code of Obligations)
  • Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP (FI/CO), combined with advanced Excel proficiency
  • Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail when interpreting financial statements
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to quickly adapt to evolving business environments
  • Excellent communication skills and proven ability to work effectively with stakeholders across different organisational levels
  • Fluent in English; German language skills are an asset
  • Professional approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
  • Solution-oriented thinking and capability to tackle complex challenges
