Software Engineer / Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Basel – On-site, 5 days a week

We are looking for an experienced professional who can operate across both application development and DevSecOps.

This hybrid role combines building and maintaining application components with responsibility for CI/CD, Kubernetes/OpenShift, tooling, automation and platform stability.

You will take a holistic view of the development lifecycle, advise teams and help improve processes, tools and deployment workflows.

Your Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and maintain application components within a modern, cloud-oriented platform
  • Write and improve shell scripts to optimize CI/CD pipelines and automation flows
  • Create and validate OpenShift/Kubernetes deployment scripts
  • Maintain and enhance development tools (build tools, IDEs, containers and related infrastructure)
  • Support developers throughout the development cycle, ensuring best practices and documentation standards
  • Tune and engineer platform tools such as Logs, ETL, API Management and NoSQL databases
  • Analyze and optimize application sizing and performance
  • Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis across both application and infrastructure layers
  • Collaborate closely with product owners and development teams to ensure smooth and reliable delivery

Your Profile

  • Strong background in software development (any modern language; .NET is a plus)
  • At least 3 years of hands-on DevOps or DevSecOps experience
  • Practical experience with CI/CD tools (preferably Azure DevOps)
  • Deep knowledge of Kubernetes (ideally OpenShift), containers and shell scripting
  • Experience with at least one of the following: Elasticsearch, MongoDB, Redis, Kafka or an API Management tool
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess systems holistically
  • Comfortable switching between application code and infrastructure tasks
  • Hands-on, proactive approach and willingness to learn
  • Fluent in English

Additional Information

This position is based in Basel and requires full on-site presence, Monday to Friday.
