Job Description

Freelance SAP SD Consultant

Duration: ASAP – 31st January 2026 for initial phase, extensions expected
Usage: 3 days per week (2 days could be considered)
Location: Hybrid working model (remote/Switzerland)
Language: English essential, German preferred

If you're an SAP SD Consultant looking to join a transformation project at the stage where your input actually shapes the solution, this is a great opportunity. You'll be supporting a plant engineering client through their fit-gap and target design phase—meaning your workshops, expertise, and process recommendations will help define how SD will run in the new S/4 landscape.

Responsibilities


• Lead and facilitate workshops within the SD stream

• Capture, analyse, and evaluate business requirements (Fit-to-Standard, using Signavio)

• Provide process consulting and implementation support in:
– Customer Credit Management
– Quotes & Orders
– Down Payments / Milestone Billing
– Billing Management
– Returns
– Cash Collection

• Support across the full Order-to-Cash area in S/4HANA

• Collaborate closely with the Stream Lead and cross-functional teams

• Contribute to readiness for the Switzerland Go-Live

Requirements


• 5+ years experience in SAP SD

• Experience in industrial / plant engineering environments

• Solid understanding of O2C processes: credit, orders, billing, returns, collection

• Previous S/4HANA implementation experience

• Ability to apply a Fit-to-Standard approach

• English required; German preferred

• Able to start by the beginning of January 2026 at the latest
