For our ongoing digitalization efforts we are looking for a

COMPUTER VISION AND DATA SCIENCE ENGINEER

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be an active and initiative part of a small and motivated team developing innovative computer based tools for optical control, metrology and modeling.

As main tasks you will:

  • In close collaboration with customers conceive and implement methods for automated parts

inspection and process monitoring on laboratory and manufacturing scale. Test, document and promote your solutions.

  • Build equipment prototypes including hardware control, data processing and user interface.
  • Independently realize R&D projects internally as well as with external partners to achieve fixed objectives.
  • Perform technology scouting and identify the latest trends in (optical) metrology and

modeling.

  • Provide expertise on demand in above-mentioned domains.

PROFILE

  • University level engineering education in physics or computer and data science.
  • Relevant hands-on experience in industry or during a PhD.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • You are at ease in handling multidimensional big data sets with classical as well as machine learning based techniques.
  • You are proficient in object-oriented programming, ideally using Python.
  • You understand industrial manufacturing processes and corresponding metrology

opportunities.

  • You have hands-on experience with image acquisition and treatment HW as well as SW.
  • Experience in optical metrology and computational science are important assets.
  • You are a visionary person, take initiative and work independently to find creative solutions to seemingly impossible challenges.
  • You have a "continuous improvement" and "go beyond" attitude.

LANGUAGES

  • You should be, or willing to become fluent in oral French as the main social language at work.
  • Good oral and written English is a must for our scientific and engineering environment.
