Role Description

The Supply Chain and Logistics Coordinator is responsible for managing and optimizing the end-to-end flow of goods, materials, and information within the supply chain. This role ensures timely procurement, efficient logistics operations, accurate inventory management, and smooth coordination among suppliers, warehouses, and internal departments. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and proactive, with strong organizational and communication skills to ensure supply chain efficiency and cost effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor daily supply chain and logistics activities, including procurement, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Manage purchase orders, shipping schedules, and delivery timelines to ensure on-time fulfillment.
  • Communicate with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal teams to track orders and resolve issues related to delays, shortages, or damages.
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipments, and logistics documentation.
  • Support demand planning and forecasting activities to ensure adequate stock levels and minimize excess inventory.
  • Optimize transportation routes, freight costs, and logistics processes to improve efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure proper goods receipt, storage, and dispatch.
  • Prepare and review shipping documents, invoices, customs paperwork, and compliance records.
  • Monitor supplier performance and participate in supplier evaluation and development.
  • Identify and implement process improvements across the supply chain to enhance productivity and service quality.
  • Analyze data on inventory, logistics performance, and cost trends to prepare reports and recommendations.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to reconcile invoices, freight charges, and budget tracking.
  • Support the implementation of supply chain management systems (ERP/WMS) and maintain accurate data entry.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in logistics coordination, supply chain operations, or inventory management.
  • Strong understanding of supply chain processes, procurement, and distribution principles.
  • Proficiency in ERP or supply chain software (SAP, Oracle, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and negotiation abilities for vendor and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving and process optimization skills.
  • Knowledge of shipping documentation, customs clearance, and trade compliance is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude and commitment to operational excellence.
