Polar Field Services is looking for a Field Coordinator to deploy to Pituffik Space Base in Greenland and help keep science projects, cargo movement, and storage operations running smoothly in a remote environment.
This role is part logistics coordinator, part problem solver, part field support - perfect for someone who loves variety, teamwork, and meaningful work in extreme environments.
What You'll Be DoingScience Support Sidekick:
Serve as the local point of contact for NSF projects and visiting science teams.
Cargo & Storage Coordinator:
Receive, place, organize, and track science and operational cargo.
Inventory Organizer:
Document assets, assess equipment condition, and support demobilization planning.
Logistics Liaison:
Coordinate with base contractors on cargo handling and waste management.
Field Communicator:
Provide weekly written and photo reports and support documentation efforts.
All-Hands Helper:
Pitch in with housekeeping, yard organization, and daily operational needs.
- 3+ years in admin, logistics support, reporting, or customer service roles.
- Strong computer skills.
- Valid U.S. driver's license and passport.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Strong organization, communication, and adaptability.
Nice to have:
- Remote or polar experience.
- Warehousing or cargo handling experience.
- Hazardous materials certifications.
- Equipment operation experience.
- Seasonal deployment: June–July (3–4 weeks)
- Extreme cold and outdoor work.
- Shared housing and limited connectivity.
