Group Controller & Treasury Manager

Location: Basel, Switzerland

On-site: Monday to Friday

About the Role

We are looking for a Group Controller & Treasury Manager to lead our Finance operations and ensure the smooth running of all controlling and treasury activities at group level. This is a key, hands-on leadership role that combines financial control, cash management, and business partnering. Following the structural simplification of the company, this position replaces the traditional CFO function and represents the financial backbone of the organization. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and business-minded finance professional with strong treasury knowledge and proven experience managing a small finance team in an international retail environment.

Your Responsibilities
    • Oversee all financial controlling activities, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and management reporting.
    • Lead treasury operations, ensuring effective cash flow management, liquidity planning, and bank relationships.
    • Prepare consolidated group financial statements and monthly reporting packages.
    • Monitor KPIs and support management with data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions.
    • Manage and coach a small team within the finance department.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure financial accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
    • Develop and maintain internal controls and financial processes to safeguard company assets.
    • Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions.
    • Contribute to strategic planning by providing actionable financial analysis and business recommendations.
Your Profile
    • Proven experience in controlling and treasury within an international company (ideally retail or fashion).
    • Strong understanding of financial reporting, liquidity management, and forecasting.
    • Excellent command of accounting principles (Swiss GAAP / IFRS a plus).
    • Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach.
    • Strong leadership, communication, and influencing skills.
    • Highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented.
    • Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP systems (SAP, Navision, etc.).
    • Fluent in English (German or French a plus).
